Mission Statement

shutterstock_71154418We, at Holloway Psychological and Educational Services, strive to provide comprehensive assessments for any educationally related concern. Our mission is to provide parents and/or young adults with the answers they seek about their child’s or their own strengths and weaknesses while maintaining a positive perspective. We strive to use our expertise and best practices based on current research to create comprehensive, meaningful and user friendly reports. We also aim to provide additional educationally related services such as parent workshops and group counseling. Our number one priority is to establish a trusting relationship with our clients and to listen to and investigate their concerns. We approach each assessment with a positive attitude and conduct our practice in a parent and child friendly manner.

Our Philosophy

shutterstock_58746472We have a “whole-child” philosophy, which means we always keep in mind an individual’s personality, motivation, strengths, interest, and all things that make him or her unique. We conduct individualized assessments and do not use a “one size fits all” approach. We don’t simply view test scores as all encompassing without looking at the entirety of an individual’s patterns of strengths and weaknesses. We consider this pattern of strengths and weaknesses a code, and for each evaluation, we put on our “detective hat” and aim to crack that code. That is why we call ourselves The Learning Detectives.
